A fluidized bed of solid particles is used at the tube side of the self-cleaning heat exchangers (to create a scouring effect) where the fouling liquid flows through that removes the developing fouling layer.

This technology can be applied in many industries, including chemicals and can help to achieve up to zero-fouling operations in the evaporator, heater, cooler and reboiler systems.

SELF-CLEANING EVAPORATOR SOLUTIONS

With this technology, fouling or clogging of heat exchangers can be prevented or minimized. The fluidized bed effectively handles many types of fouling including scaling, whether hard or soft, originating from biological, crystallization, chemical or particulate fouling mechanism, or a combination of these. A wide variety of fluids can be handled ranging from aqueous solutions to oils and slurries.

TAPROGGE PR-BW 800-C High-Performance Cooling Water Debris Filter

A compact high-performance filter designed to maximise efficiency
The PR-BW 800, which has been tried and tested in the field for many years, has been developed to include the PR-BW 800-C version. It is designed to handle from low to medium-sized volumetric flows of up to 12,000 m³/h and safely removes a wide range of macrofouling substances from the cooling water flow. Condensers, plate heat exchangers and other loads connected downstream are reliably protected from macrofouling.
