Technologies for water loss reduction
Hermann Sewerin GmbH has been supporting water suppliers for decades with its extensive product range for water loss reduction.
Various systems are available for water leak detection using acoustic methods. Starting with the AquaTest T10, a robust test rod for pre-locating leaks, through the Stethophon® 04, the compact one-hand receiver for indoor use, to the three receivers of the professional AQUAPHON® system, the A 50, the A 150 and the A 200, which guarantee fast and precise leak detection thanks to their outstanding quality and extensive range of accessories.
SEWERIN also offers various systems for water leak detection by correlation. For example, the compact SeCorr® C 200 or a combination of correlator and acoustic water leak detection device, the SeCorrPhon AC 200. This multifunctional leak detection device offers three functions in one: pre-location, localization and correlation. By cleverly combining these methods in one system, leaks can be located accurately, regardless of the ambient conditions.
Both the SePem® 100 or 150 mobile noise loggers and the SePem® 300/351 stationary loggers can be used to detect leaks in the water pipe network at an early stage.
If professional leak detection and leak testing is to be carried out with tracer gas, the user can rely on the highly sensitive VARIOTEC® 460 tracer gas detector.
Products for pipe and object location
When locating buried pipes and cables, precision is essential. The more accurate the measurement, the lower the risk of excavation errors. Equally important for fast and efficient work are high performance, practical handling and ease of use. Reliability, versatility and a robust design are required to be able to measure safely even under difficult conditions and in inaccessible environments. With the UtiliTrac R130, the UT 930 and the UT 9200/9100, SEWERIN offers top-class locating systems. With the new powerful 50 W FG 150 generator from the FERROPHON® system, you are also ideally equipped for extreme locating ranges.
Plastic pipes cannot be located using the classic electromagnetic method as they are not electrically conductive. Sewerin also offers solutions for locating these pipes. When locating non-metallic pipes with the help of fiber optic probes and locating transmitters, these are inserted into the pipe and located with a receiver. The route of the line being searched for can thus be determined quickly and precisely.
Another approach to locating non-metallic pipes is acoustic pipe locating with the COMBIPHON® CG 150, where suitable vibrations are applied to the pipe and picked up on the ground surface with a ground microphone. The FERROPHON FG 150 C generator is also ideal for these locating tasks.
SEWERIN offers a combination of water leak detection and pipe detection with the compact solution package based on the AQUAPHON® and FERROPHON® systems. With the AQUAPHON® AF 50 receiver and the FERROPHON® FG 50 generator, locating professionals have a wide range of options for the precise localization of pipes and leaks in buildings.
Concealed manhole covers, valve rods and caps, but also marking nails or other ferrous objects can be safely and reliably located ferromagnetically with the FerroTec FT 10.
SeCorrPhon AC 200 - Water leak detection by correlation
The SeCorrPhon AC 200 is a multifunctional leak detector offering three functions in one: prelocation, pinpointing and correlation. The clever combination of these processes in one system allows you to confidently locate the leak regardless of the ambient conditions. With just a few finger strokes, you can quickly and easily switch between the various applications.
SePem 351 - Stationary monitoring of water distribution networks
The SePem® 351 noise logger monitors your water distribution networks.
With the target of reducing water losses, it transfers measurement data via LoRaWAN®.
The SePem® 351 logger is specifically designed for stationary installation. It measures the noises in the pipe network at defined times. Following the measurement, the recorded data are evaluated and prepared to be transferred.
The logger must be registered in a LoRaWAN® network to ensure that the measurement data can subsequently be sent to the control board of a water utility. A network information system is required to visualise the results.
AquaTest T10 - Robust test rod for electro-acoustic water leak detection outdoors
The AquaTest T10 is a test rod with innovative technology and ergonomic design. Its strength lies in the prelocation of leaks in water pipe networks.
The AquaTest T10 is the first test rod made by SEWERIN for which no additional receiver is required. The headphones are activated not by any common key but by a special sensor area. The noises that are picked up are visualised on a display incorporated in the handle.
In the product variant with the SDR radio module, the test rod can be used with radio headphones. This means no more cables to get in the way.
UT 9200 • 9100 • 930 - Reliable pipe location.
Locating underground pipelines and cables is a matter of precision. The more accurate the measurement, the lower the risk of digging up the wrong spot. Performance, practical handling and simple operation are just as important for fast and efficient work. Likewise, reliability, versatility and a sturdy design are also essential for obtaining measuring safely in difficult conditions and inaccessible environments. The UT 9200, UT 9100 and UT 930 systems are up to any locating task.
EX-TEC® PM 580 - Portable gas concentration measuring device for detecting, measuring and warning
The mobile gas measuring and gas warning devices from the EX-TEC® PM 5xx series make the everyday work of gas fitters, maintenance staff and other technical staff easier. They can be used to locate leaks in freely accessible gas pipes, assess the risk of explosion and determine whether toxic gases are within the occupational exposure limits (OEL). In the Structure application, the EX-TEC® PM 580 displays the carbon monoxide concentration in the room air and triggers an audible and visual alarm if the values are too high. Toxic carbon monoxide is produced by combustion equipment, such as heating systems, as a result of insufficient ventilation and poses a risk to humans.
