About us

Haver & Boecker is one of the world's leading manufacturers of wire cloth for industry and technology. As a medium-sized family business, we have played a decisive role in shaping the technology of wire weaving for more than 130 years. We develop and use innovative manufacturing processes to fabricate wire cloth into filters and fabricated parts for filtration or cleaning, for the protection of people or sensitive electronics, or for the uniform flow of a gaseous, liquid, or solid medium.
These products are used in many different industries - from the automotive industry to the energy and environmental sectors. A look at mechanical water filtration, for example, shows: metal wire mesh is a reliable and durable filter medium in all treatment plants, as it combines maximum durability and the highest precision.

Products & Services

With the production of water filters made of metal wire mesh in smallest and largest dimensions, our focus is on efficient mechanical water filtration. In numerous applications in the water industry, the optimum combination of throughput and filtration fineness is crucial: for the retention of microplastics, for the treatment of wastewater or for the prevention of the introduction of foreign organisms by shipping. Metal wire mesh enables the filtration of even finest particles. Corrosion resistance, suitability for welding and stability are further examples of concrete requirements for the development of water filters that we have already been able to successfully meet with the use of metal wire mesh. We fulfil individual product requirements with a wide range of proven products or with solutions that are newly developed for special applications. These include new weave types, automation solutions, and conceptualising the optimum production and testing process.

MINIMESH® S filter mesh

MINIMESH® S filter mesh offers a whole range of advantages that make it almost unbeatable as a filter medium in water treatment. With their excellent mechanical properties, they reliably remove the finest particles down to 5 µm and can therefore contribute to the best possible separation of unwanted foreign substances such as suspended organic matter or microplastics.

Thanks to their high flow rate and high dirt holding capacity, they increase the efficiency, safety and stability of filtration processes. The decreased blocking tendency, in comparison to alternative filter media – such as fleece – and the optimised regenerability enable plant operators to extend cleaning intervals and reduce the burden involved in mechanical and chemical cleaning. The combination of mesh type, weave type as well as the suitable support and drainage layers can be used to create numerous configurations and simulate the respective behaviour.

POROSTAR® filter elements

POROSTAR® filter elements made from metal wire mesh laminated panels consist of many wire mesh layers that are firmly bonded together by diffusion. After initial heat treatment, the mesh laminates are sintered a second time. This duo-sintering technique leads to a firm connection of the layers.

The mesh layers are put together in such a way that they optimally meet your filtration requirements. HAVER POROSTAR® can be formed and welded. We can also connect the mesh laminates with additional support materials such as perforated metal sheets.

Microfilters

The term "microplastics" refers to particles and plastic fragments that fall within a particle size range of 1 µm to 5 mm. Wire mesh filters are an ideal filtration method of reducing the entry of a large proportion of particles into the environment via wastewater. With a filter fineness adapted to the optimum flow rate, the uniform mesh geometry of robust and stable metal wire mesh ensures a maximum filter capacity. A wire mesh filter medium can be easily integrated into existing micro-screening systems.
